Mediation
Mediation is a process to settle conflicts of any kind, centered on the parties coming up with the solutions that work best for them. Mediators are neutral in the conflict and facilitate a process that focuses on the needs, rights and interests of the participants by using a variety of communication and negotiation skills to transform the conflict in a constructive way so that the participants can find a “win-win” solution.
Facilitation
A facilitator helps a group of people understand and achieve their common goals. At Signal Fire, we use the tool of authentic engagement to encourage deep listening and compassionate truth telling which allows the group to overcome any preexisting or emerging misunderstandings and disagreements so there can be a strong basis for future action.
